Just returned last night after a week’s holiday in Antalya so missed two reviews of “in Cyprus Today”.
Mass shutdown in general strike – government and municipality offices, routine hospital services, ports and banks are due to close as 28 unions protest against an alleged 30-35% cut in public servant wages in order to align them with Turkey. Starting wages would then allegedly be 13TL above the minimum wage, e.g. labourers would earn 1250TL instead of 2206TL pm.

I totaly agree, we need a solution to our internet problem, tired of expensive, unreliable 3g connections
