David Haye next if the Orams lose their case?

KO
Timesonline confirms that WBA heavyweight world champion David Haye owns a property in north Cyprus:
“Northern Cyprus is now a second home that Haye and Booth (his trainer) normally use when preparing for fights. They both own villas on the coast and they have bought a corrugated iron shed at the top of a rough, one-track lane and turned it into a state-of-the-art gym.” [1]
It is not confirmed that his property was pre-1974 Greek Cypriot but if it were there is a danger that Greek Cypriots could use his new found international fame in order to pursue a high profile case against him. This could actually work against Greek Cypriots as pursuing someone who has achieved such popularity could further tarnish their international image.
It could well be that this week, along with several thousand other north Cyprus homebuyers, he will be watching the news with trepidation waiting for the outcome of this landmark case.

What’s with the ‘was pre-1974 Greek Cypriot ‘?….Unless there has been some sort of agreement it STILL is owned by the GC, right ?
Does, “the title deeds in south Cyprus has the names of Greek Cypriots on but since 1974 the properties have not been in their possession.” I agree however that international law specifies that those are the legal owners. Aaah, if only life was so simple… Oh M6 it’s you, sorry I hadn’t realised that you were gathering material for your Semantics PhD
Enjoy the fight?
Careful. Are you sure of your facts. Last i knew Dav id and Adam were RENTING their villas on the coast, with the idea that in the future they might build something. The gym is another matter, and it could well be that this is owned by Adam and his father.
The question of title, could, of course apply to that, but the o nly person who could tell you of the ‘fact’ of this, is David, or Adam!
For you, because you are such a lovely neighbour, I will check,. but unless things have changed in the last year, definitely, but definitely, David and Adam were renting two houses next to each other, and don’t think the owner at that time had any intention of selling!
Not my facts, this was from The Times who reported that “they both own villas.” See http://www.timesonline.co.uk/tol/sport/more_sport/boxing/article6910155.ece
“This could actually work against Greek Cypriots as pursuing someone who has achieved such popularity could further tarnish their international image.”
Bring it on. It’s not about image it’s about justice.
