Cyprus44 down again
Cyprus44, the “The Internet’s most popular North Cyprus website” [1] is having problems again. Attempts to access the website results in a request to log in. This appears to be a problem with the IIS webserver software which the website uses and is the same problem they were experiencing earlier this year. This does not appear to be an attempt to hack the website but seems to be a website management error. Normally these types of error are associated with software updates, this time involving IIS webserver software. As soon as an administrator is made aware of the problem it should take very little time to solve.

So are you going to tell him? I would but I don’t have his number.
‘most helpful member’ Elko2 has posted on TRNCvillaowners and I’d assumed he’d got in touch. Like everyone else on Cyprus44 I’ve only got Izzet’s email address. Go on, you tell him the news!
I have sent Izzet a mobile phone text message early morning, when I found out about the C44 problem.
Andy p was emailed this morning with an offer that he could post on
http://www.northcyprusforum.net to keep 44 members informed of any developments.
Good idea Nige, I’m also reading & posting on TRNCVillaOwners at http://www.phpbb88.com/trncvillaowners. I’ll update the article once I find out what has happened.
Cyprus44 still down at 17:45 UK time, no reply to email to Izzet.
I was just informed by Izzet (9 pm) that the problem is a hosting issue. His hosting providers Abuse Department closed the account. Izzet is suspecting a DDoS attack again. They’ll come back to him tomorrow.
Load of rubbish anyway. Full of back biters and nastiness. Moderators are on power trips and the biggest laugh of all is the izzet fizet or what ever his name is, is making money out of you all. Well done members you certainly have been. And before you start my little dutch dyke this isn’t a smart arsed debate. I only talk to Brits.
… we’ll get back to you when we find a Brit who wants to talk to you Sal
Tuesday 0935…no change.anyone know latest?
The latest news is that the Cyprus44 hosting company will probably not be able to restart the website until they discover if it is being hacked. Izzet, Cyprus44 owner, says he’s going to upgrade if it is confirmed it is a Distributed Denial of Service (DDoS) attack. This is where 1000s of hacked PCs try to access a website at the same time, controlled by the hacker. This eats up the amount of bandwidth allocated to a website and so by upgrading Izzet hopes to overcome this – if this is what is happening
