Any State that “permits”, by its constitution, another State to intevene in its affairs is, by definition, not a free sovereign country. Intervention of this nature is contrary to the principles of The UN Charter. Where else in the world has one counry been given the “legal” right to intervne in the affairs of another?

Stelios, I studied in London in the early 1960s with a Costas Ioannou from Varosha (Cyprus Cotton Industries), are you related? I think he had a brother with your name.

They can’t figure out a reasoned response, they know deep down that receiving stolen goods is as bad as stealing them yet they start giggling like a couple of little schoolgirls at the back of the class – pathetic!

No Pauline you are not an innocent bystander. You have become involved in and are now part of the Cyprus problem. Your actions and those of other carpetbaggers have made the problem between Cypriots more difficult to resolve. You were willing to acquire a cheap property in Cyprus to the detriment of the legal owner. You expect sympathy from others, if you were genuinely sympathetic towards to the refugees who lost their homes you would never have “bought” in the “trnc”. Your actions have endorsed and supported a corrupt racist “state” and you have the gall to complain. The sentiment in the north is that the GCs got what they deserved, a cynic would say that you and other carpetbaggers have too.

Hallucinating and now confused, are you the right person to “run” NCFP Dominic?

My “So, Dominic writes the rules, we can only go back as far as the Junta and Sampson – nothing else counts.” was a response to your  “No! You either want a workable solution or you are stuck in the past”.

You made reference to something that happened in the past but say “No” when I want to go back further – nothing to do with my late father’s property.

My ideal solution would be a genuine federation monitored by the EU but Turkey has other ideas, it wants a base in Cyprus to protect it from a Greek invasion. With that in mind I would settle for partition based on population and land ownership at the time of independence, that is to say 20% 80%. This would of course cause serious problems for settlers and carpetbaggers but they would be the least of Turkey’s worries. An independent southern state would, of course, be free to invite whoever it liked to “defend” it from a Turkish northern state. That would open a whole new can of worms for NATO, especially if the invitation was extended to Russia.

Nothing is simple in life, is it ?

Are you hallucinating? “You say that if we hadn’t bought property then the TCs would have surrendered” Where did I say that?

I know who is living in my late father’s house, I know his name and I know that the property is rarely occupied, would you like his UK address?

For the record I don’t hate TCs but I hate what some of them, Turkey and Denktash  have done to Cyprus.

Pauline, if you don’t know what Takism means then it does indeed show how little you know about Cyprus. You know what ENOSIS means don’t you, it’s in the  ”Genocide Files” ?
    Takism means partition.
